“So? What do you think?” he asked, as if he knew the answer.
“Would you mind handing us over the keys for a little thorough checking?” Ghanshyam asked.
“Oh Yes!” he nodded. “I have instructions from my boss that I will leave the keys with you, and he will have the remaining discussions with you.” He handed him over the bunch of keys quite eagerly, as if they were too heavy a burden to carry, or as Kavita joked later, they were biting him.
An hour later the car was standing in front of their hotel. They thanked him before he took his leave.
“He seemed really scared.” Kavita said.
“Yes. I have been watching him all through the tour he was at the edge of his nerves, jumping at every sound, every flicker of light and shadow.”
“I really liked the house.” Kavita said.
“We can occupy one of the outhouses renovate the mansion as a heritage hotel.” Ghanshyam chimed in enthusiastically.
They quickly got up in the morning. They were both early risers and that night they both were restless. They never even dreamed that a property like that could be bought for such a cheap price.
